Leading the congregation of Poquoson Baptist Church on August 10, 2014, in singing Chris Tomlin’s “The Wonderful Cross”, a well-done update of that great hymn of Isaac Watts using Lowell Mason’s tune “Hamburg”. A great reflection on Christ’s suffering during His crucifixion and what it should mean to us- “Love so amazing, so divine demands my soul, my life, my all!” You’ll also see our pastor in the foreground being a great example of leading in worship.
Leading worship on March 16, 2014 at Poquoson Baptist Church supported by our choir. We opened worship with Matt Redman’s “Blessed Be Your Name”, then I taught the congregation the chorus of Hillsong’s “Hosanna” before leading it.
Here I am directing the choir of Poquoson Baptist Church on March 16, 2014, singing Chris Tomlin’s “God of Angel Armies.” After the choir sang and left the platform, we immediately went into the wonderful modern hymn “In Christ Alone.”
Leading worship with the praise team at Poquoson Baptist Church, February 23, 2014. We led Matt Redman’s 10,000 Reasons just after the choir sang, and I read lyrics from the choir piece that showed how grateful we should be for what Jesus did for us on the Cross, and how those lyrics connect to Psalm 103, upon which this song is based.

We opened worship with Paul Baloche’s “Hosanna” and Chris Tomlin’s “Sing to the King”. Love the congregational singing! I dropped my pick almost immediately after beginning, and had to retrieve it before the next song. Need to keep moving when opening worship!
